    Should I be getting an email every day for the 30 day challenge? I
    received an email on days 1, 2, 3 and 5. No email arrived for Day 4. I purchased my Bluehost account
    on May 21, so today I should be on Day 6 but no email has arrived with a
    link to the day’s lesson, and I can’t access it by logging into the 30
    Day Challenge.

    Also, is there a way to see the topics (just the topic title, not the content) for each day? I have questions about quite a few topics and I don’t know whether they will be covered in the lessons. I don’t want to leave all my questions for later in case I run out of time to get them all answered. If I can see when the topic will be covered, I can wait to get my answers then.

    Shows in our system that our email bounced for day 4 and day 6.

    I just resent it to you. Click on the link from day 5 and you can navigate to day 4 and day 6 through lesson navigation. Remember to close all your browser windows and open these links in incognito window.

    You can’t see all the content yet.

    Can you send us the list of questions you have? or content you are looking for?

    The emails are still kind of hit and miss. I get knocked out of the forums often too – have to rejoin groups even after I have started or replied to discussions. Not sure why, but I’m just logging completely out and then back in when it happens, or rejoining a forum.

    Topics I have questions about: sorry for the delay, I thought I had responded to this!

    How to edit the 30DBC theme to make the headings a different color, what do I need to know about keeping my blog secure, what other plugins are useful – and how to know if a plugin is going to work with the theme. Backing up the blog – how to, when, etc. What should I look for if I am choosing a different theme – and how do I fix it if a new theme breaks!

    Thanks!

      Hi there

      Your email provider is rejecting our emails and it shows as bounced. Can you please add our email support@30dayblogchallenge.com to your whitelist? or ask your email provider to do it for you ?

        I thought I had whitelisted this one – looks like I missed it. It “should” work now, thanks!

    You can always navigate to the other lessons in the course, by directly logging into the site. We will try to look into this further. We don’t have any other students with the same issue. So we think it is your email provider rejecting our emails.

    Great set of questions.

    1. I will update the design your blog step with some extra images to choose from. It is actually not background color but a background image and you can update that by navigating to appearance-> Customize -> Header image and editing them.

    2. Install Wordfence plugin for security and configure it. Other plugins to consider -> Yoast SEO for SEO we don’t really know if the plugin is going to break the theme. Trial and error.

    3. Blog backups – it should be automated for the most part and bluehost does include codeguard with your hosting account. So navigate to mystics->manage site->backups and you will see the list of backups in your account.

    4. Choosing a theme totally depends on the business case. You should nt be changing your theme regularly and if you do, I suggest going with a premium theme for support. We do have a pro blog starter kit where we install premium designs and tools and help design the blog.

    All these questions are great and this is the theme for July for our community where we will go deeper into some of these questions.

      I want to change the font color on heading styles, not the header image/background.

      Thanks for the tips – will check into each of these.

    Navigate to appearance->customize->additional CSS and add this to the bottom.

    .blog-title a{

    color: #111;}

    choose correct hex code for the color you like. Let me know if that works.

      There is code for the Constant Contact optin form in the Additional CSS. I added this to the bottom:

      .blog-title a{
      color: #006171;}

      Tested with a new post – the title and headings did not change color. Did I paste the correct information? The hex code is correct for the teal color I am using.

        Ok, that is for the site title. I misunderstood. This is for the individual posts.

        .post-title a {

        color: #111;}

    Hey Bonnie I just checked out your website and your Title, subheading and Blog Post titles are teal on my end =)

    Did you do something different?

      I had changed the individual posts. Now I have added in the additional CSS for the site title and individual posts now. THanks!
