Email with domain name

I thought that unlimited email addresses are included with my domain purchase and hosting purchase through Bluehost. But it looks like I have to pay for either Gmail or Microsoft 365 to set up an email address.
What am I missing? Shouldn’t I be able to set up email addresses without buying another service to host it?
Hope this is posted in the right place – if not, please direct me to the correct place to ask.
Thanks,

Hi Bonnie,
Such a great question! It can be a little confusing with the “Email & Office” tab. (This is an option for a paid solution for a domain email address, however, since you already have this option included in Bluehost you do not need to pay additional)
Login to Bluehost >> Click Advanced on the left hand side (This will log you into cpanel >> Click on Email Accounts>>Click on +CREATE (Blue color). There you will see option to create free email addresses.
Let me know how this goes =)

Well, I’m still stuck. When I log in to Bluehost I don’t see an option for Advanced. All I see are the tasks, and when I click on the Email task it takes me to an option to get Microsoft 365 or Gmail hosted email. I pasted in a screen print of the screen I see when I log in.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

I unfortunately cannot see the screen photo you pasted, however, I am creating a short tutorial of how to set this up =).

Thanks, Callen,
When I log in to Bluehost I don’t see that menu on the left. Have not figured out how to make it appear, but I was able to get into Bluehost through WordPress. I finally noticed the Bluehost icon at the top left of the WordPress dashboard. From there I was able to follow your video.
I think I’m set with email now. Thanks!

Couldn’t have done it without you! Thanks!
Now if I could figure out how to set it up as a second email account in MS Outlook I’d really be rockin’. Figured out how to get my domain email to forward to my regular email in Outlook, so it will work for now. I’ve been able to set up multiple email accounts in the past, but something must be different with this combination.

Thanks for the link. There is something else going on with the set up. I followed the instructions and I’ve had no problem setting up other email accounts in Outlook – but this one just does not want to cooperate.
I have the email address set up to forward to the account in Outlook so I don’t have to log in to check messages. That will work for now.

Cool you found a work around! For the future Microsoft outlook should have a tech support. =)
