This is in groups that is related to having physical deformities and disability awareness.
Hi, my name is Marie Palmeri. I was born without hands. I use my feet mostly to do many of my daily tasks. My goal in life is to inspire and be inspired. I would like people with or without a disability to know that I am here to teach and show others what my feet can do, how I overcame obstacles as they came, and share my thoughts and respectful opinions on various issues and concerns others are having. I want to be inspired by people’s stories and encouraging words as well.
I am very excited to be a part of this group and I hope that all of us here can learn a lot from each other.

Hey! Thanks for welcoming me into your group. Iβm writing about some pretty amazing Canadian small towns, but Iβm discovering itβs really the stories of the people and the little cameo glimpses of life they give us that makes them extra-special. Do you have somewhere βItty bittyβ that you just love β¦ just because? If you do, let’s play … please Comment with the name!

Hello everybody. My name is Karen. Prior to covid I was a massage therapist and I have been using this time to spread tips for peace, love, and wellness via my blog. Thepeacefuluniverse.com
My content is suitable for people who love yoga, love personal development, and enjoy keeping the peace.
I joined this group to connect with other yoga fanatics like myself and love to “meet” like minded people who are on this journey.
I’d like to know how I can best support other members of this community and anything people would like to read about.

Hey Monica, I have a question for you on this. What is the best way to interact in Facebook Groups?
Should I be using my own personal Facebook account in these groups? Or is it better to create separate account under my blog name so that people are seeing my brand and interacting with that?
Sorry for the questions, and thanks in advance!
-
8460
Hi Clarissa. That is a great question! I’m not an expert by any means but, after taking a look at your group, I figure it is best to use your own profile and share your blog and posts with your own account.
I believe you should keep a page for your blog but in this specific context, I would use your own account because it is more personal and reachable.
Take the 30DBC as an example. If instead of having my name and a photo of myself as my profile, I had Team 30DBC and the logo, your reaction to my feedback would be different. It would be more impersonal, distant.
This is my take on this but try and do this exercise and see what works best for you π

Thank you Monica, that is helpful. I see your point about it being more personal. I will give it a shot!

Here is my intro:
Hi everyone, Iβm new to the group, and Iβm so happy and thankful to be added. I am on my last weight loss journey (fingers crossed) and so far I have lost 80 pounds. I have more weight to lose. But the odds are not in my favor. So I joined this group as I need all the help, encouragement, and support I can get. I even started a blog, Healthier Millie, to hold myself accountable and hopefully inspire others. I look forward to reading more of your success stories and sharing my experience.

Hi everyone! My name is Kimimila. I recently started a blog called Why Said I to build a community that inspires others and reminds us all that we are not alone.
I want to support people, especially women, in finding their strength and ability to be fully self-aware through the sharing of self-reflection tools designed to help them discover the deepest parts of who they are and what they desire. I also want to help them discover techniques they can use to achieve what they desire regardless of their goals and provide them a safe place to share and know that I care.
I joined this group to learn from all of you and to offer any support that I can back to you. I am new a blogging but experienced in life and enjoy collaborating with others. I am looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hi, my name is Julie Ann Christiansen. I am a clinical linguist and author of children’s books, who seeks to promote reading and creative writing among children from six to sixteen years old. I joined this facebook group to get in touch with more readers and writers, so I can talk with them about their tastes, ambitions, momentary troubles. Occasionally, I also hope to get some good feedback on writing questions of blocks that I may be having.

I’m not sure I understood the instructions for this discussion. What I posted here was what I posted on my personal Facebook profile page to my “inner circle”. I see now that others have posted in this discussion their group introductions. I’ll have to get back to you on that… I’m still researching Groups…

I have identified several types of Facebook groups I’d like to join – crafting/quilting groups, crafting business groups, and novel writing groups. I have a slightly different intro & focus for each type of group.
Question: Is it bad etiquette to post an introduction to a group I have belonged to for several months?
This is my intro for a crafting/quilting group:
Thanks for welcoming me! I am working on my first novel about a quilter who wants to open a quilt studio. I have a good handle on how she will run her business – Iβm a semi-retired copywriter, virtual assistant, and coach/consultant. But I had to set the novel aside for several years to learn how to quilt!
I have a lot to learn about quilting and artful crafting, so thatβs why I am here. If you want a sneak peek at my novel writing journey, I am blogging about it at https://livecheapdreambig.com.I look forward to contributing to the group however I can.

I have been in groups that match my niche for a long time. I have made comments here and there and realized I didn’t make any introductions, I have never been good at getting out there. Because of that I went ahead and introduced myself again and explained a little of myself.
I was looking for new groups to join as well but here is what I am finding… most groups have a rule about posting anything personal and specifically say “blog” not to be promoted here. In this case I guess we just have to hope that having a regular presence will get people to go to my personal page and find my blog facebook page???? I created a page that is linked to my personal page…?
I also can’t tell share what I wrote because it apparently has to be approved by admin before it is posted…

I’m aware there are loads of restrictions in some of these groups. My advice would be to look for blogging groups, women bloggers, mother bloggers, there are tons of groups out there that allow you to share your blog. π

This was way harder than I thought it would be! It feels like I say “I” too much. Thoughts?
Hi all – so glad to be part of your group! I’m Kristi, with TheLaughingGrandma.com – I love being a grandma and sharing ideas for shining joy into the lives of our husbands, adult kids, and grandkids. And I joined this group to learn from all of you: What exhausts you about grandma-hood? What inspires you? Worries you? Gives you hope?

I think it’s awesome, simple and straight to the point, Kristi! You did a great job π

Here is my intro.
Hey there! I am a newbie to the group and excited to join in the discussion! I’ve just started my blog about a month ago. It focuses on 1) supporting the creative community and 2) sharing helpful information on creative endeavors for those new to a passion or just starting a new hobby. To get it off the ground, I started a 30 day blogging challenge which has really helped give me manageable goals and structure to this otherwise overwhelming process! I’m more than halfway done, so the next steps will be uncertain, but exciting! It’s so great to be here. Thanks for having me!

I haven’t found a group where I can promote myself freely yet (most groups I have found have a rule against self-promotion) but here is my sample for when I am able to link to my site:
<div data-pm-slice=”1 1 []” data-en-clipboard=”true”>Hey there everyone! Thank you so much for welcoming me to this group. I am new to the blogging game and have created my first blog, akintokindness.com . It focuses on all the ways, big and small, in every aspect of life where we can find ways to create more kindness towards ourselves, others, and the world. I’m really looking forward to learning from this group and improving my blog!
</div>
-

There are loads of groups with that rule, unfortunately π But there are also more specific groups that don’t have it, so keep looking π The bio looks awesome π

I am a member of several groups but have never introduced myself. I am now posting this along with a picture and a bit more information that would be specific to each group.
Hi everyone. Thank you for letting me join the group. I have really been enjoying all of your post and pictures here.
My name is Cheryl. I have recently started a blog to share some helpful
tips about various crafts, and occasionally some fun with cats. I have been a
crafter for over 40 years and love sharing things I have learned. I am still
building my blog site so would love to have some input. I know groups donβt
like us include other site links so please just PM me if you would like to
check out my blog.
