I read your blog and my heart is with you. As one who had PTSD – and note the word HAD – I know you are well on your way to recovery. It comes back when something major in your life happens, but you learn even more in every round. I wish you all the best and look forward to reading more in your blog.

Great job Bianca! These are great tips. We all know how sometimes the things we see on social media are only highlights of peoples’ lives. But it is easy to forget it, especially when our life is a mess and everyone’s life seems incredible. Well done 🙂

I think it’s great that you have found your spiritual connection in a world that does not always allow spiritual freedom. My spiritual make up is rooted in Christianity (baptist), but I am learning more about crystals, herbs, and tarot. I feel that if more people took some time to learn more about these things, they will realize that a lot of the stigmas they currently believe in, are wrong. These practices encourage positivity, good energy, and caring about yourselves. Thank you for sharing your journey and hopefully others will take the time to learn more. I think I would be like you and identify with the Warrior Goddess as well.

Super interesting post! This is the exact niche and reader group that my blog is targetting, and I am admittedly still struggling with this a bit myself! One comment about your blog, you have no spot on your page for people to post comments about your blog entries. You mention at the end that you would love to have people commenting so you may want to consider figuring out how to enable the comments. Overall a great read, and liked that you added the links to help people on their research journey.

Thank you for your support. I was starting to think it was stupid because it is so different from the others. I think each blog needs three or four sentences as an introduction so readers know what they are reading. The home page and the about me page will help as well. As far as I can tell, nothing like this has ever been done before.

When I began, I wanted to focus on helping people become healthier in mind, body, and soul.
Yet, I also realized I should be talking about what I know. So, I’ve changed the layout a bit to focus on travel, yoga, and photography – it’s what I do, and what I know, so now it’s what I shall write.
I am working on introducing my background in each, to give a foundation of trust, and let the reader know that I know what I’m talking about basically. Here’s my intro of yoga.

Hey! I looked, but didn’t read. I’m sorry. I highly reccomend getting the YOAST SEO Plug-in. Its free but I will help you write so that It is easier for readers to read. Readers like small paragraphs about 1-3 sentences long and lots of pictures to break it up. Big paragraphs can “scare” some readers away.

<div><div data-sidebar-sticky=”1″><div><article id=”post-40″><header>MYTHS AND MYSTERIES SURROUNDING THE 4TH OF JULY AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION.<div>July 11, 2020
</div></header><div>
By: Ladislav
The fourth of July weekend has passed in America, we just celebrated American independence and our birth as a sovereign nation. In my neck of the woods people were launching fireworks for a week before the celebration!
The celebration of the fourth of July seems pretty straight -forward and would seem to have nothing to do with myth or legend. However, over the years certain events tied to the fourth of July have made their way into American myth and folklore and an auspicious stellar event ties our great American celebration to mysterious traditions of the ancient world.
The continental congress determined to declare independence from England on July 2, 1776 which has caused some over the years to consider this date as the real holiday of independence. July 4, 1776 was the day that congress agreed to adopt Thomas Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence. In a strange twist of fate Thomas Jefferson himself died on July 4, 1826 within five hours of his fellow founding father John Adams. According to the lore, on his deathbed, John Adams uttered, “Jefferson still survives.” (Facts.Com, 2020)
From a stellar perspective the fourth of July 2020 is marked by a conjunction of the sun and the star Sirius. This conjunction begins an astronomical event which culminates in the heliacal rising of the star Sirius around 15-16 August. (Up, 2020) The heliacal rising of the star Sirius is the time when Sirius rises just before the Sun at the dawn. This year we also get a full moon during Independence Day weekend! At this time you may be asking, “Why is this guy talking about astronomical events?”, “I thought this was a mythology, lore and fantasy blog, not astrology!” The reason, my friends, is that many times our mythology and folklore are intimately tied to stellar events. This knowledge can be incredibly enriching when considering these stories or gazing up at the stars.
This stellar event was particularly venerated by the ancient Egyptians. The rising of Sirius before dawn in mid-August marked the beginning of “the Dog Days “, and the annual flooding of the Nile. Since the Egyptians relied on the flooding of the Nile to enrich their land for crop growth this was an extremely important event. They liked to say that the flooding of the Nile was caused by the tears of the goddess Isis in her grief over her husband, the slain god Osiris. Thus the star Sirius is intimately associated with the goddess Isis herself. But what does all of this have to do with America? Well, Isis being the archetypal mother goddess of the ancient world was venerated through many names in many different countries and her cult was ubiquitous throughout the ancient world. Her most recent persona can be found as the goddess Columbia. According to the Masonic Philosophical Society, “Columbia as a symbol is far too complex and deeply-rooted to be ascribed as a creation of political machinations. Columbia is only the latest name given to a goddess who is older than recorded history and can be traced in her modern form to the early Egyptian dynasties. She has been known throughout history variously as Inanna and Ishtar by the Sumerians, Kali by the Hindus, Freya by the Norse and most notably as Isis by the ancient Egyptians. She is the goddess of love, wisdom, warfare and destiny and is venerated by all cultures as the mother of civilization.” (Suvari, 2016) Curiously enough our own statue of liberty is a representation of Columbia/Isis.
I hope that this article enhanced your understanding of American Independence Day with a mythological and stellar perspective.

Absolutely loved this post, Bryanna! You make Mindfulness seem so much more simple than everything else I’ve read about it. I will definitely look into this practice 🙂
