I loved this poem and will probably be sharing with my coworkers. I work in social services and we are always discussing people first language especially in regards to individuals with disabilities and/or mental health concerns. This is an excellent reminder to remember people are more than their appearance, limitations, diagnosis, etc. Thank you for sharing! Would to love to have read more about how you relate to the poem! I love hearing other’s story and there is so much power in sharing our own. Keep up the great work!

Great post, as usual! Very informative, easy to read and straight to the point. Loved the insight on your garbage journey. We really do create a lot of garbage and even though it disappears from our house, it doesn’t disappear from the planet. So good to see a how-to guide type of thing, really clever and appealing to the audience. Great work 🙂

I like that you made it personal to the reader, telling me how it directly affects my well-being. Under “How Important is Your Health to You?” Try re-phrasing your first line. Rather than assuming that obviously they don’t care about their environment? Maybe they don’t feel they make a difference? Maybe they are busy or struggling and it’s the furthest thing from their mind? Empower them to action, remind them or inform them. If they are reading your blog, then they do care about the environment and they want to learn more. I love your topic, I’d love to know simple ways that I can make a difference and loved being informed on how it specifically affected my health. Great job!

Hi Kaitlin! As Trina said, what a great way to get your audience’s attention by writing directly to them. Your post is well structured and very informative. Your approach and style is always up to you, since your blog is a reflection of you and a place to share your views and opinions. So always write with that authenticity, it is what makes your project yours 🙂

Great article Kaitlin! I love the topic and how you specifically address both physical and mental benefits of going green. I wholeheartedly agree that taking in the beauty of nature has amazing mental health benefits.

I do agree with Trina’s comment above about assuming they don’t care for the environment. I think she may be right – I think it can seem hopeless for some people, that what one person does, might not be enough. For the effects you mention like cleaner air – that takes millions of people working together.

Maybe that could be a cool topic for the future to illustrate that changes that one person makes can really add up and make a difference over time.

      Keep up the good work!

Now that so many travellers and international students are “stuck” in other countries away from their family, this is a very relevant post that can help lonely people make some new friends! This is a niche that is probably on high demand at the moment so take it as an opportunity to grow your audience and share your blog with friends and acquaintances. You have no idea how it can change someone’s day 🙂 Great job and keep on sharing your work with us here in the forums 🙂

Nicely done Bianca! I really like Oprah’s quote that you included.

I have been meaning to try this gratitude journalling for awhile now. I suppose now’s a great time with all the crazy going on in the world!

Well done on the post. I like how it’s very concise and to the point. Great actionable items for busy people.

If I was going to make one helpful suggestion, it would have to do with the title. Maybe you could make it a little more attention grabbing? You know how short people’s attention spans are these days. Something like How to Gratitude Journal For a Happier Life. Or something similar that lets them know what benefit they’ll get from reading your post.

It’s so good, I wouldn’t want people to miss out on reading it!

I agree with Monica – a very intense story! I enjoy reading things like this. I would suggest more attention paid to the grammar. The odd mistake here and there is fine – everyone makes them – but when a piece of literature is riddled with them, it becomes hard to read, meaning gets cloudy and interest will wane. I like the inclusion of the images that may have fed your muse! Well done.

Such an interesting story! Have you ever been part of a writer's circle/community? Anyway, strong writing! When she first enters his room, I'm unclear about what happens. There might be some parts in your dream that make sense to tweak so the reader can follow. You've woven a lot of symbolism in there, I'll be pondering this story for a while.

Hi Casey. Great job on the blog, you’ve put a lot of time and effort into your blog. One of the things that I noticed from your blog is that my blog has a post that I’m going to be placing on a weekly basis. But I hadn’t make any provisions for grouping them. I happened to notice that you have your old posts grouped at the bottom. So I’m going to think of a way to organize my newsletters.

I really enjoyed reading your post about time management. I am also all about color coding. I do this a lot in creating my plans for my classroom! I did notice that you talked a little about other ways people could plan their time, especially considering there might be a lot of “new norms” coming. I wonder if maybe it would be beneficial to the readers to add links to google calendar, or a tutorial on planner use on the computers to help guide them if they are not traditional people like you and I that enjoy a handwritten planner. I also think it might be good to talk about the planner you like with maybe a link to where you purchased it. So many times I see an awesome planner (especially since you show yours) I want to know where they got it. All in all, I enjoyed reading about how you have to work on getting back into the new normal and how you use a planner to manage your time!

    Hey guys,

This one felt long and there was still more I could say.
I know I could break it up into several smaller posts.

Trying to get a feel for what is best. I don’t even have time to write it to the best of my ability, but here is a start.

Lydia, this was such an interesting post to read through! Loved the jokes and memes that you included. I was actually a bit intimidated by the pyramid and thought “Wow, a lot of things in my life are out of balance”. But your approach really made me realise so many of us are in this weird journey together. Well done, great post 🙂

WOW! What a post. There was so much there but it was so balanced and very engaging. I do think you are right, in your notes in this post – this could be so many posts. I don’t think this particular one should be broken up but I do think you could do so much with the pyramid itself. I think people, including me, need to read more and more about this to better themselves. I know that this really got me thinking about what is missing in my life and what I want to improve. I really enjoyed this and I am sure so many people will as well!

Hi Heather. I enjoyed reading your post and reflecting on those moments in our life that are hard on us. Have you thought about putting this picture on the Internet in your header and then copying and pasting your info into that image – You can cry – ain’t no shame in it. And then you can copy and paste Don’t ask me what’s wrong into the image and post that. Scott

These old eyes aren’t like they used to be. I had eye surgery a few years back so it’s hard sometimes for me to see things (that I hadn’t noticed the three dots on the right). Now I know how to leave messages properly.

Hi Maureen, thank you for your service. I like what you’ve done with your website so far. Your heading in the right direction. You might want to consider removing your email list to the site bar. I almost didn’t see it and I nearly left the site because I couldn’t locate it. Then at the last second I happened to glance and notice it at the bottom. By moving it to the sidebar it’d be in a little more prominent place. MSgt Scott Charleboix, USAF (Retired).

I really value your comment about the tips making sense to you, as I was curious as to whether they make sense to anyone other than myself. Means a lot to me to know that they are helpful. Thank you so much for your input always. Lisa.

This is a fantastic article! I really enjoy what you have written about forgiveness. My one constructive suggestion is that the phrase is “carve out time” instead of “curve,” but I still knew exactly what you meant and the advice is very sound. Thank you for sharing!

Bryanna, thank you for reading my post, enjoying it and for the constructive feedback. I laughed at myself a little when I thought about the difference between ‘curve’ and ‘carve’. Thank you for catching that and letting me know. I am changing the spelling as we speak. Thank you again. 🙂 Lisa.

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, so maybe someone can educate me. When I reply, I’m guessing that the reply is going to go under the Team – 30DBC somewhere. How do I ensure that my replies are underneath the person making the post? I’m sure that it’s something I’m simply overlooking (but I can’t see it).

When I reply to the prompt post/main thread/whatever you want to call it, I hit the blue “Reply” button on the far right side when you are scrolled all the way up. When I am replying to a person, like right now, I click the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the comment box and choose “Reply.” I hope this helps!

Hi Chris! Just read your posts, so interesting! Love how you approached such current themes and analysed our society’s honesty. Is this fiction or do you actually have done a few experiences with this concept?

Hi Monica. I’m not exactly sure what your question is. It’s a mixture of fiction and non-fiction, I guess. When we think about/hear/see/ whether people are lying or telling the truth, I guess that would be non-fiction. When I add a hypothetical response, that would be fiction.
