Came up with only 30 names, and I was stretching it beyond my ideal reader to just people I know that might read my blog if only to support me and may or may not get value from an occasional post. Don’t have emails for everyone yet but I think I might try reaching out to people through facebook instead of email.

    1. I still have not told very many people about my blog (because I’m still scared!) but those that I have told have been supportive of me.

    2. I grew up wanting to be a creative person, but the stigmas and comments from people around me pushed me into getting a “practical” degree and pursue a safe job rather than pursuing something creative that may or may not succeed. I have been scared of this for a while but have recently been trying to change my mindset and pursue my creative passions.

    3. I think you do need some inspiration to be able to create an authentic blog, but that is why I am trying to blog about something I am passionate about, so hopefully I will be able to feel inspired enough to continually create authentic content.

4.It was interesting how she discussed sort of separating your creativity from yourself, seeing it instead as something that is controlled by outside forces as a way to relieve the pressure to always be creative. I think when I am struggling creatively I would consider trying this method to shift my thinking.

    1. My first week was a success (except it took 2 weeks to complete the first week!!). I was able to sign up and get my blog set up, write a few blog posts, and come up with some ideas for future posts. Once I had the topic and some research the writing was easy.

    2. Unfortunately I am behind on my blog challenge. I procrastinated writing my blog on overcoming procrastination…. (still trying to master it!) Found it exhausting to have to write three blog posts back to back, I would prefer to have some time to work on them so I can do some research and take some breaks. Ideally I want to be publishing one to two posts per week.

    3. I want to continue to come up with topics and research, try to work on them every day even if that is not the daily challenge so I will have some ready if needed and can be continually posting a couple a week.

My blogging goals are to consistently post new blogs, around 1-2 per week. I am trying to spend around 30 min – 2 hours blogging per day every day, depending on how inspired I get.

My blog niche is providing advice for people who are in that awkward transition between school and figuring out real life. Lots of my posts are also relevant to general life advice e.g. overcoming procrastination, how to stay motivated, how to find a passion and plan your future towards it.

As an accountability partner, I will read all your blog posts if needed, check in with you every week, give you positive encouragement and even kick your butt if you need motivation to meet your goals. I will provide constructive criticism and help you grow your blog.

    Hi Amanda

Not sure if you have an accountability partner yet, but I think our niches will cover some similar topics. I am trying to provide advice for younger people navigating that awkward period between school and the “real world” including advice on how to stay motivated, overcome procrastination, and pursue passions. If you’re interested in connecting let me know!

Great article! Lots of good information here! One suggestion is to make the smoothie recipe stand out a bit more! Maybe change the colour or font size? It will help draw more attention. Can’t wait to see the other blog posts you come up with!
