Tell us about yourself.

I am a wife, mother, and writer. I enjoy working within the community. I believe faith and family are a priority. It is important to me to continue to grow and learn no matter what stage of life

What inspired you to create your blog/business?

I looked into beginning a blog a year ago, I was not sure where to start so it was a dream for another time. When I saw the 30 day blog challenge it seemed like the perfect opportunity. With Covid 19 I also needed to supplement my income.

What is a typical day in your life?

A typical day in my life begins with spending time with family each morning. I then take time to work in my garden. I spend time reading and planning for the day ahead. The weekends are full of time with family, and working within the community.

How do you stay productive and motivated working virtually?

Staying motivated is not hard when you believe in what you are doing and who you are doing it for. Virtually has been a challenge since parts of this are new to me; however, I believe everyone should have the opportunity for change and growth. I make it a habit to continue to learn.

How have your friends and family reacted to your project?

I have family members who are very supportive of my decision to start a blog. I do have a few friends who question the outcomes of why and what it is all about. This has created a challenge for me to make sure that my friends understand the impact I wish to make. So you may find that not everyone understands but if they believe in you and the core values you wish to express they will support you over time.

What has been the scariest part of having a blog and how have you overcome it?

The scariest part for me, is navigating all the elements of putting the blog together. I have had some technical difficulties, but the support I have received from my accountability partner, and the technological team has been fantastic. I keep everyday making this a priority for myself. This course has allowed me to pace myself and going back to review material is making me more confident with each day

What have you gained from your business up until now?

I have gained a clearer picture of what I wish to accomplish. This challenge has forced me to look at where I want to be and reinforced the type of person I wish to become. It has also encouraged me to step beyond my comfort zone, and dream bigger.

What message do you have for students who are starting the challenge now?

The message I have for new students: No matter what challenge you encounter through this journey, believe in yourself and your dream. Keep pushing, if you find yourself falling behind just keep going. Realize you may just have a bad day but you will also have many great days. Make sure you utilize all the resources available to you.

How did 30 day blog challenge help you?

This challenge has provided a step by step system that removes the anxiety of stepping out and moving forward. It has allowed me to form new relationships with other bloggers. This has been an exciting journey of growth and personal development.
